Samhain closing and other news

Hi, all:

For those who keep up on publishing news, it will come as no surprise that my publisher Samhain Publishing is closing its doors on February 28th. That means that the books will no longer be published, although I am sure there is still stock in inventory – it is a POD release. I’m not sure what it means for ebooks although I imagine they will cease at that time.

What does that mean for me? Well, a few things. For those who were waiting for the March 15th release of the second Elementals book Air Attack that release is not going to happen. It’s bittersweet because I really wanted to see this book released but on the flip side because Samhain is not releasing it that means that my first release rights remain unblemished.

I am not sure what my next move is yet. There are a few publishers who have reached out on a private board to express interest in seeing the back catalog along with future releases and I may go that route. I am also considering self-pubbing. It’s early days but I’ll let you all know when I decide my next move.

One thing I can tell you is that I’m preparing a book for self-pubbing that is the first in a new series. It’s a novella called No Ordinary Fairy and features one of my favorite heroines in a while. My release date is not yet known but it’s going to be fairly soon. I’ll update you as soon as I know more.

This is of course in addition to all the wonderful short stories and novellas I have out there.  I am sorry for the delay as I wanted to share Griffin and Clea’s story with you so badly, but there’s nothing I can do at this time. I hope that the wonderful Pani and Rafe, the main characters in No Ordinary Fairy,  help fill the void. It’s not every day that an unusual fairy and a mountain lion shifter get their tale told!

Chat soon.
